I live in a new development with lots of construction going on. Yesterday afternoon a bobcat truck snaped a temp cable that my phone/internet company ran to my house (they waiting for the grown to thaw so they can properly trench it).
Of course as soon as the line broke our phone an internet connections were toast. This wasn’t the end of the world execpt I had planned to video Skype with my day ( who lives a good 3 - 4 day drive away). I knew that my iPhone supported teathering, but never really used it. Since I had nothing to loose I turn on teathering and connected my phone to the computer. To my surprise not only did it work be we had a full video chat without any freezes or other issues. I have to say I’m very impressed with the speed of the 3G network and ease of use with the iPhone.
