I have been taske to make a video slideshow for my sisters wedding. Is of course means scanning dozens of old family pictures. I unpacked the scanner (we had recently moved) and hooked it up. Every time I tried to scan a picture I kept getting a lamp error. Needing to complete this project ASAP I went to my local box store an bought a 3 in 1 printer. After it took way too long to install I started scanning the stack of pictures. I had finished only a hand full when the new scanner gave me an error. I did the usual troubleshooting steps including uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers again ( an again it took way too long ). It still didn’t work! On an off chance I searched through boxes and boxes of parts and cable to find an extra USB cable. I plugged in the new cable an it worked. I can’t belies how much time I wasted over a cable. I bet if I use the cable on the old scanner it would work too, thus having wasted even more time shopping for a new scanner. Lesson learned
